Price Confirmation Before Entry: A Practical Checklist

Question one: Is the divergence visible on the timeframe you intend to hold through? If you found it on the daily but plan to scalp the hourly open, stop.

Question two: Did price respect the prior swing level? A wick through support that closes back inside the zone still counts as respect in our rules, but a daily close below does not.

Question three: Has at least one confirmation rule fired? We do not negotiate on this one.

Question four: Can you state invalidation in one sentence without checking the screen? If you hesitate, you are not ready.

Question five: Is the reward at least one-and-a-half times the distance to invalidation? Divergence setups in tight ranges often fail this test — and that is useful information.

Question six: Are you inside your weekly loss limit? Training accounts matter too; blowing past limits teaches revenge sizing.

Question seven: Did you write the setup in your workbook before entry? Paper first, click second.
