About Utility Poplar Hub
A Bangkok workshop room devoted to chart reading — momentum divergence, price confirmation, and the discipline of writing setups before clicking.
Official business information

Established: 2018
Registered office: 287 Somdet Chao Phraya Road, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600
How we started
Utility Poplar Hub began in 2018 when Somchai Viriyaporn left a brokerage research desk and opened a small classroom above the Khlong San riverfront. His frustration was consistent: new traders spotted divergences on screen but entered before price confirmed, then blamed the indicator.
The first workshops used photocopied charts and coloured pencils. Participants marked swing points by hand, compared oscillator panels on overlay sheets, and kept every setup in a bound workbook. That paper-first method remains the core of what we teach.
By 2021 the room moved to its current address on Somdet Chao Phraya Road. Weekly reading nights and corporate bookings joined the flagship masterclass. We still cap groups at twelve and refuse to sell signal subscriptions — the skill lives in your marks, not our feed.
Our approach
We teach a repeatable sequence: map price swings, overlay momentum, identify divergence candidates, apply confirmation rules, write invalidation and target, then decide. Screens stay on for reference; decisions happen on paper first.
Thai SET charts appear frequently in our workbooks because many participants trade local names. The mechanics transfer to any liquid market with clear swing structure.
Values we hold at the table
- Marks before clicks — no entry without a written plan
- Small groups — every chart gets discussed, not just the instructor's
- Honest failures — we log missed confirmations with the same care as wins
- No product pitches — workshops end when the charts close
The reading team
Somchai Viriyaporn
Lead instructor. Twelve years on brokerage research desks before opening the workshop room. Specialises in daily-chart divergence on SET names.
Mali Srisawat
Session facilitator and field notes author. Runs Thursday reading nights and prepares corporate workbook examples.
Prasert Chaiyakul
Guest reader for advanced sessions. Former commodities desk analyst; focuses on volume confirmation during afternoon SET sessions.
Relationship to our clients
Participants range from retail traders in Bangkok to research assistants at asset management firms. We do not manage money or recommend specific trades. We teach you to read your own charts with clearer rules.
Many clients return for monthly reading sessions after the masterclass. Some book private coaching when they notice a repeating mistake — usually timeframe mixing or entering on the divergence bar itself.
